Heritage site status for Coringa mangrove likely
The Andhra Pradesh government has begun the process to get UNESCO's world Heritage Site status for Godavari Mangroves at Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary, near Kakinda, touted to be the second largest mangrove in India.
The Environment, Forest, Science and Technology Department has constituted a seven-member committee for fulfillment of norms required for proposing it as a World Heritage Site.

Tea Board, m-junction in pact for tea e-marketplace
The tea board has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with m-junction limited for introducing a new e-marketplace for tea.
# The initiative is expected to improve cost-effectiveness and price discovery.
# The MoU is to design,develop, implement and maintain the e-auction platform at Jorhat, Assam and mjunction has been appointed as the system integrator.
# The platform is likely to initially handle about 200 million kg, which is grown in the vicinity of Jorhat.
# Through Assam grows the largest quantity of tea in India, it has only one auction centre and the process of production-to-payment takes over a month. mjunction plans to shorten this cycle with features like automated catalogue management.
Private Universities in U.P. to be governed by Umbrella Act
For setting up a private universities in Uttar Pradesh, an understanding that the university will not involve get involve in "anti-national activities of any sort" has to be submit.

# The Umbrella Act would override all the act as a "controlling body" to monitor and regulate the private universities.
# The new system like to bring uniformity to the fees structure, quality of education, implementation of the UGC guidelines.
# Minimum 75% of teachers appointed to the private universities would be permanent and not contractual and their quality would be monitored online.
# According to Umbrella act, a university in Urban areas should have a minimum space of 20 acres, while in urban areas, they should have 50 acres.
